Three ways to useĀ
Titeinsite
Standard
Titeinsite will guide the installation and assembly of bolted joints following a standard sequence, such as ASME PCC-1. Simply select the joint, a pattern to use and a target tightness e.g. 12" 150#, Star pattern to 74KSI (or 450 Ft-Lbs) and the application will simply guide the installer from fastener to fastener following the load progression as prescribed, step by step.
This eliminates error prone lookup tables, and hieroglyphic marking of joints where installation left off. The application tracks the assembly, step by step and records it all for expedited review and QA sign-off.
All configurations of ASME B16.5 connections are available in the Demo App for Standard use.
Enhanced
Enhancing the Standard method, Titeinsite provides an "X-ray" style view of the cross-talk between all the fasteners in the joint. As the tightening sequence is followed, the dynamics are calculated in real time and returned as a simple radar plot, showing where the connection is tight, and more importantly where it is loose, during assembly in real time.
This visibility accelerates the ring passes and can reduce the number of individual bolting activities by 20% or more.
To extend the benefits of the enhanced tier even further, there are provisions for selective tightening during the patterning passes. By selectively tightening individual studs, it is possible to reduce bolting activities by 70% by leveraging the insight from cross-talk modeling.
A limited selection of Enhanced connections within ASME B16.5 are available in the Demo with joint configurations belonging to common joints such as:
2" Class #300
2" Class #600
4" Class #150
8" Class #150
Professional
For the ultimate in connection optimization, joint reliability and worker safety the Titeinsite system is implemented with the inclusion of a single "smart" fastener that has direct load feedback, installed with the first fastener of the joint, and left in-situ for the life of the connection.
Closed loop feedback of the Titeinsite finite element model is then achieved, allowing individual calibration of each of the remaining "dumb" fasteners within the joint, to the exact field conditions experienced during assembly. Independant of tool calibration.
During assembly, each fasteners unique calibration is used to tailor the procedure to achieve the optimum closure uniformity in the most efficient way possible.
Then of course there is the lingering benefit of leaving your critical connections with a simple tension indicator in-situ. Which can be used to warn maintenance personal of joint relaxation prior to an issue.
