Demo Instructions
Setup a New Bolted Joint
On the joint configuration page of the demo, all drop-downs need to be valid selections for the connection that you would like to work with. The default values should assist in speedy setup.
Common Box - In the top area, three selections are needed which determine the industry standard, as well as the pipe size and components classification or grade.
Flange(s) & Gasket Box - This section has three parts, Left side flange, Gasket and Right side flanges. This is where the "shape" of the joint is configured, (as well as the materials) and what gasket is going to be used.
Installation Box - The bottom section asks what sequence or pattern is going to be used as well as the target tightness for the fasteners in the installed connection.
Once all of the details are defined, the button at bottom will toggle to:
Start Install
Load an Existing Job
If you have already configured a connection or partially assembled a joint, it will be available in a quick pick list above the new joint setup, click Load for the specific one you would like to resume.
The jobs are listed in the order they were created. The % represents the connections percent to target tightness and a detailed description.
Installation / Job Details
Each step of the installation will be guided onscreen by:
Next to Tighten:
Bolt # X to YY KSI
Where the bolts are numbered sequentially clockwise around the joint.
After each step, the Save/Next button should be clicked to progress to the next step of the sequence.
At any point the Close button can be used to return to the main screen, the connection details are saved at every step and can be re-loaded as above.
The chart represents the current tightness of each fastener in yellow, to the target tightness in grey, with some statistics shown for further information.
